The Wine Bar & Brasserie is a recent venture for Bob and Oyla who run the Bridge House Hotel. It is hidden away in the lower levels of their 250 year old listed hotel and provides Bridport with a very stylish and sophisticated wine bar and brasserie which is quite simply, stunning. This is no idle boast, it really is that good, but the excellent food is only part of it. It is the decor and historic nature of the dining area that will win you over. Number 4 is a lovely little family run Bistro Cafe located in Southbourne's main shopping street. They provide a range of gorgeous food including vegetarian dishes made using organic, Free Range and Fair Trade produce. The interior decor is a mix of " original " contemporary design and beautiful wooden floors and furniture and with its large windows and high ceiling, it offers a wonderfully relaxing place to dine. There is also a nice garden area at the rear for those warm summer days. During the day it is light and airy but in the evening it takes on a lovely cosy and intimate ambiance that is perfect for dining in. They also offer live music, but people really come here for the food which is stunning and very reasonable so, if you are looking for somewhere different and cosy in the Bournemouth area that serves excellent food, look no further than here.
