The Halsey Arms is all about pleasure and excellent food. The staff and locals will give you a very warm welcome and you will quickly feel like a long lost member of their family. The interior is a mixture of period and contemporary styling and its airy and comfortable ambiance provides a very relaxing dining experience, but the food is the real gem here and whatever your menu choice, you will enjoy very exceptional food and very pleasent prices. This is a dining pub with a difference and has something very special to offer you.

We are a family-friendly pub in the Dorset countryside, where both young and old will find something special to smile about. The Halsey public bar boasts a selection of real ales, lagers and ciders, and hosts live music every Sunday and karaoke every fortnight. The Halsey also accommodates a skittle alley, pool table and table football, and the function room is available to hire for weddings, parties or skittles evenings.
Sunday Carvery.
In addition to our daily menu choices we also offer a Carvery every Sunday where traditional Sunday Lunch is served offering excellent food at very good prices. Two courses from £9.95.

There are three dining areas, the main bar area where you can enjoy a friendly atmosphere, there is a smaller more intimate dining area off from the bar area which provides a nice relaxing setting and there is a much larger dining area that offers a spacious and stylish ambiance where you can take in the views from the local countryside and engage in conversation with your friends and family or equally enjoy a more intimate moment.

We have a range of exciting wines, all chosen for their quility and taste. We also serve a selection of high quality Ales and other beverages and will have something very special for you.
Functions:
We love hosting functions and our large dining area can cater for 150 people of more. In the summer, you can also use our large rear garden area. We change our menu's daily but here is are some sample dishes - Starters - Duo of prawns - Vietnamese black tiger prawns pan fried in garlic butter, meet North Atlantic prawns in a Marie rose sauce on top of two deep fried English croutons - £5.95 - Main Courses - Chicken a la crème - A chicken supreme cooked in a ham, mushroom, white wine and cream sauce served with seasonal vegetables and a choice of potato - £9.95 . Steaks - We are veery famous for our steaks from the griddle and here are some examples - 10oz Rib eye steak - £11.95 - 8oz Sirloin Steak - £12.95 - 8oz Rump Steak - £9.95.
