Seduction.....That is the only word that describes this dining experience. The character and history of the building will embrace you with its tranquility and the quality of the food and wine will totally seduce you. This is dining on a completely different level. The quality and attention to detail is almost obsessive but the end result is perfection. In fact, you just have to go there.

Further Details

Our menus.

Our food is our passion and we use only the best fresh local ingredients and produce to ensure the excellence of our dishes. Anything below our standards is simply not good accepted and is the reason why our chef has retained our AA rosette for the eighth year in a row. The significance of this is that this award recognises the use of quality produce prepared and served to a high standard. It is an award we do not intend to lose.
Because we only use fresh produce, we change our menus to suit so

Our Wine List.

We have chosen some very special wines for you. Each one has been chosen for its quality and individuality. They have been sourced from growers and wine-makers who are passionate about their work and are more 'artisan-craftsmen' than anything else. These are wines that reflect their 'terroir' (best translated as "a sense of place"), true origins and regional culture

The Bars.

Our two bars offer award winning real ales, as well as a comprehensive wine list. The quality of our beer has been recognised with an award from Cask Marque. They are both very inviting and welcoming and The Hardy Bar has been recently panelled with hand crafted oak. Log fires, beams, oak panelling and stone floors add to the ambience of this fine building. You can also soak up the summer sun on our patio outside.

More about the Acorn Inn.

Originally known as The Kings Arms, the Acorn Inn once brewed its own ales with water drawn from the source of the River Frome and is steeped in history. All the original charm and character of 400 years oozes from its beamed bars and log fires and when you enter you will be stunned by the buildings beautiful interior that instantly relaxes you, no matter how stressed you may be.

The dining areas.

There are three main dining areas. The main formal restaurant area is at the front of the building and is split into two rooms which offers you a special dining experience for those intimate moments. The Bar restaurant area offers a more traditional experience. It is set in a beamed and stone area of the Inn and has beems, stone flag stones and a very cosy and friendly ambiance. At the rear of the Bar dining area is another large dining space that is used for functions and parties and also doubles as the skittle alley.

The lounge.

The lounge is the real jewel in it's crown because it feels just like being in your own home. It has numerous period features, lovely soft and comfortable sofas and has a unique warm glow that is totally relaxing. I cannot emphasise just how serene this room really is.
