The Greyhound Inn is an 18th Century Coaching Inn set in the heart of Sydling St Nicholas, one of the most picturesque villages in Dorset and one that goes back to the Domesday Book of 1086. The owners have worked very hard to create a unique venue and dining experience that really is in a different league to most other restaurants in Dorset.
They ensure every customer receives an above average level of service and along with eating amazing food, you can also stay in one of the six beautifully presented rooms which are exceptionally good value and enjoy a truly relaxing experience. There are two separate dining areas each offering something very special. The more formal dining area allow intimate dining for those special moments whilst the bar dining area offer a relaxed and vibrante ambiance that is very popular but what will really get you is when you walk in and feel the character come flooding out of the building. Then and only then will you decide where to dine.
Wine List:
We have an extensive wine list that caters for all discerning palette and connoisseurs alike. Examples include a beautifully aromatic Picpoul de Pinet La Cote Flamenc from France, a zesty Chenin Blanc Saam Mountain from South Africa, a full flavoured St Romain Sous Clos De Chateau Monopole from Burgundy, a dry and crisp Sauvignon Blanc San Rafael from Chilli and a full range of other exquisite wines from around the World.
